The ELIXIR IDP Annual Meeting takes place from 14:00 GMT+1/IST (Irish local time) on Tuesday, 30 August to 14:00 GMT+1/IST (Irish local time) on Wednesday, 31 August, 2022 (Agenda). This meeting is planned as a hybrid meeting, with the F2F component in Dublin, Ireland.
The meeting is part of the IDPfun 2022 All Hands Meeting.
ELIXIR Communities enable the participation of communities to practice in different areas of the life sciences in the activities of ELIXIR, which underpin the evolution of data, tools, interoperability, compute and training infrastructure for European life science informatics. This (hybrid) meeting addresses the ELIXIR IDP Community for Intrinsically Disordered Proteins – proteins containing regions that lack a stable secondary or tertiary structure. Such regions play a central role in cell regulation, and are thought to be involved in many human diseases, including cancer, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
The major goal of the IDP Community is to support the development of standards, tools and resources to accelerate the identification, analysis and functional characterisation of IDPs. A better understanding of IDP structure and function will help understand biological processes, and can lead to the development of new strategies to treat human diseases.
The meeting will include presentations, workshops and participant engagement.
This meeting has a limit of in-person attendees, with no-limit on virtual participant numbers. A number of selected invited participants will receive funding to attend the meeting. These will be specifically informed regarding the reimbursement arrangements.

Please note, if you have selected to attend face to face, this option is limited to first come first served basis. All registrants will be informed via email regarding their registration. Please do not book any travel till after you have been notified.
Travel and venue
Once notified of your F2F attendance you will be expected to make your own travel and accommodation arrangements to the venue, reimbursement information will be shared with invited attendees after their successful registration.
