This event will be run twice in the same format:

  • 20 January 2022 10:30-12:00 CET
  • 21 January 2022 15:30-17:00 CET

Objectives

This 90 minute online event aims to collect insights from ELIXIR Members on the impact and future directions of Data Management services in the ELIXIR Programme for 2024-2028

Scope

ELIXIR is the European Infrastructure for life science information and through its development has built a portfolio of tools, services and best practices in life science research data management. As well as ELIXIR Platform and Implementation Study investments, the EU currently funds ELIXIR to further develop this through the H2020 ELIXIR-CONVERGE and IMI FAIRPlus projects; how is this significant effort to be sustained into the 2024-2028 Scientific Programme?

The consultation session will review ELIXIR activities in support of Data Management to date, including Platform and Project activities. We will then address some key questions: What has been learned from those activities and where have sustainability and continuity issues arisen? Which aspects of the Data Lifecycle still need to be addressed, and what is ELIXIR’s role? Who are the main stakeholders and how can ELIXIR contribute to their needs?

Who is it for?

Any ELIXIR Member who has expertise in the development or application of Data Management solutions. Perspectives from EU projects with Data Management outputs and those involved in Data Management programmes at a national or institutional level will be particularly welcome.

Event outputs

Outputs including slides will be made available after the event on the ELIXIR intranet (requires login).
