ELIXIR Webinar: Community-led Request for Proposals for Implementation Studies

BST

ELIXIR Webinar to present the Community-led Request for Proposals for ELIXIR Implementation Studies.

The evolution of the ELIXIR portfolio of services will increasingly be driven by the ELIXIR Communities as we move to the 2019-2023 Scientific Programme. ELIXIR Communities are groupings of experts in an area of scientific or technological importance to ELIXIR who, by way of an established roadmap, have defined expectations and requirements from the ELIXIR Platforms. They are therefore able to specify needs for particular areas of activities that need support from ELIXIR Platforms.

The aim of this first Community-led Implementation Study call is to identify a small number of Community-led Implementation Studies that integrate the needs of one or more Communities with the services of at least two Platforms.

We will use the ELIXIR Board approved process for internal tendering to select a small portfolio of Implementation Studies based on the process used in 2017 to select the Data Platform Implementation Studies. This process employs a peer-review component, with an Evaluation Committee consisting of External Reviewers and chaired by the ELIXIR Director. As this is the first time we are running a Request for Proposals for Community-led Implementation Studies, we will carry out an evaluation of the process and potential improvements at its end which will be reported to the Heads of Nodes.

The webinar will outline the scope of the call, its eligibility requirements, evaluation criteria and application process.
